Meet the Archivist

Mark Ong’injo holds a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia, and a certificate in Archival Work from the Georgia Archives Institute in Morrow, Georgia. As the Archivist at the Claudia B. Williams Archives & Research Library in Dothan, Alabama, Mark oversees a wide range of responsibilities, including processing collections and records, appraisal, acquisition, accessioning, management, arrangement, and preservation—from start to finish. He also plays a key role in curation and exhibition efforts.

Mark brings a wealth of experience to the Archives, having previously worked in the Archives department of Columbia Theological Seminary’s C. Benton Kline, Jr. Special Collections & Archives in Decatur, Georgia. During his tenure, he performed exemplary work on the Presbyterian Women's History (PWH) collection, including the curation and exhibition of rare materials. Mark is dedicated to assisting clients in discovering materials in the archives database and on the shelves, always with integrity, honor, and respect.
